Christmas planning, piece of cake!

Tis the Season to Celebrate. Well almost…

As Christmas is fast approaching it means one thing, it’s time to plan your Christmas Party! We have decided to help you out to make the party planning process a piece of Christmas cake.

Whether you are planning a corporate end of year event or a family dinner, Christmas is about celebrating with your loved ones and should not be stressful event.

Step 1: Decide what type of event you are wanting to have.
Cocktail party with live entertainment? A BBQ? A Sit down dinner? A themed event? Once you have decided on what style of event you are
wanting to have the rest will fall into place.

Step 2: Make a guest list.
If it’s a corporate event you need to decide if partners are welcome or if it’s just staff. If it’s a family event is it over 18 or all ages? Once you set a limit stick to it.

Step 3: Budget.
This part should not cause you stress and we will tell you how. You have so many ways to create an event that does not have to break the budget. If you are choosing to host an event at a venue ask about what type
of custom packages they will be able to do. More and more venues are opting for food stations and large platters to ensure they can accommodate for all types of budgets. If you are having a sit down dinner why not have people pay for their own drinks? You can always opt for a cash bar. People will not be offended if they have to pay for their own drinks. If it is a corporate event why not start your planning early and create a social club kitty? I know we have one!

Step 4: Pick your venue.
Are you having your event at home? At work? At a venue? This part is the easiest. Once you have the first three steps if you pick a quality venue they will be able to guide you through the rest. It’s what they do for a living! If you decided to have it at work why not have a caterer come out? Even better have a live demonstration cooking class. The gift that keeps on giving, knowledge! If you are hosting at your house have a pot luck you are sure to learn some new recipes.

Step 5: Time to decorate.
Pick two colours and stick with them. Metallic’s are always festive! Personal favorites would also be gold and silver but feel free to get creative!

Step 6: Make memories!
Why not use a photo booth? Something less, opt for a Polaroid camera and people can take home a souvenir. Music is always memorable. If you choose to go for live entertainment why not support a local artist or DJ? Whoever invented Spotify should get an award because there is no better way to create a custom music play list to suit your Christmas mood!
